Junior Giants is a free, noncompetitive, coed baseball and softball program for youth ages 5-18. Working together with local agencies, families and volunteers, Junior Giants reaches into communities and offers youth a chance to learn the basics of baseball and softball during the summer while also discovering the importance of self-esteem and respect.
We offer 4 divisions: Tee-Ball (5-6 yrs) Minors (7-10 yrs) Softball (7-9+ yrs) Majors (11+ yrs)
* Tee-Ball players must be 5 years old by July 1, 2020 *
Junior Giants is more than just baseball and softball, it's a program that offers several distinct programs which were designed to further enrich a young player’s summer experience.
Players learn the Four Bases of Character Development: Confidence, Integrity, Leadership and Teamwork, as well as the importance of Education, Health and Bullying Prevention.
The "Word of the Week" programs reward players with weekly prizes when they participate in:
Reading around the Bases, Strike Out Bullying Poster, Healthy Eating Calendar and Education.
If Players participate and attend all 8 weeks of the season, the Giants Community Fund will give them a special reward!
Each year, the Giants Community Fund offers a $5,000 scholarship to 8th grade students who have been acitive in the program, and who exemplify the principles of the Junior Giants philosophy. Kelseyville has been awarded 2 scholarships in the past 6 years.
This year, the Kelseyville Junior Giants is again offering softball. This division is fast becoming a player favorite and we look forward to another great summer of fun. This the 2nd year for softball and we are excited at this fast-growing and expanding Division.

Each summer, Junior Giants entering the eighth grade have the opportunity to apply for the Harmon and Sue Burns Scholarship - a scholarship program of the Giants Community Fund.
The mission of the program is to provide an incentive for higher education, promote active community service and extend the impact of Junior Giants. Emphasizing the importance of Leadership, Teamwork, Confidence and Integrity, the program aims to provide students with the motivation and support to reach their full potential.
Today, we are excited to announce our 2020 Harmon and Sue Burns Scholarship inductees.
The Junior Giants listed below will join our community of scholars and will be provided with college prep programming, mentoring and guidance through their high school career. Upon their high school graduation in 2025, they will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship to support their higher education dreams.
Congratulations, Junior Giants!
Welcome to our Harmon and Sue Burns Scholar community!
